Day 14

After a long night of fun and feasting the villagers offer to send me back to the mainland in New Zealand.  After the final goodbye’s they tell me to walk through this weird portal like thing which immediately transports me to Hamilton.  When the Media find out of my return there is a frenzy to ask me questions about how I survived.

Day 13

Woke up.  Had look at the key pad on the machine.  On it is a digital clock.  I try to turn it to the right time and when I press the enter button I get zapped into the past.  I’m in the same place but all around me are people I’ve never seen before.  They welcome me and I spend the rest of the evening with them.

Day 12

Go to explorer the village.  Didn’t find any thing interesting just some old abandon houses.  Take a closer look at the machine and find a slot that looks like it would fit the tablet I found the other day.  I put the tablet in the slot and throw the lever in ground next to it.  The machine roars to life and the control panel lights up.  Decide it’s getting late and the machine can wait until tomorrow.  Go to bed.

Day 11

Woke up to the sound of me breathing.  Boy this tunnel has an echo.  Walked further down the tunnel till I arrived in a big room with this strange machine surrounded by houses.  While setting up camp I found some carvings in the wall.  One of them was an image of a switch beside the machine.  I saw a note that read “going to the past forever.  Bye.” went to bed after that.

Day 10

Woke up.  Climbed around the edge of the waterfall and found lots caves.  One of them was very long so I decided to explorer this cave.  At the very back of the cave I found a little door way carved in stone which had a long tunnel behind it.  I walked along until I came to what looked like a guard post.  Decided to sleep there for the night. 

Day 9

Woke up.  Walked upstream then when I reached the split I went down the calmer stream and paddled till I arrived a waterfall.  While I was setting up camp I found this shattered ancient tablet.  When I put the pieces together it showed an image of a big machine in a cave surrounded by houses and a giant tunnel leading to the back of the waterfall.  Decided to look for caves tomorrow but it was bed time now.

Day 8

Woke up.  Decided to use the life raft to boat around the lake till I reach the river.  I start tumbling down the river only just keeping the raft afloat.  Then I come up to a split in the river, one of the ways looks calm and the other way the currents look very strong.  I try going down the calm way but get pulled in by the other.  I only manage to stop one kilometre downriver.  I decide it’s been a long day so I set up camp.  I spear a big trout from the river, cook it over a fire, it was extremely good, and I go to sleep dreaming of home.
